Gale Harold & Randy Harrison - Bloopers + Behind The Scenes

Oh god.
I don’t.
Think I’ve ever.
Laughed that hard in my life.
Where do I even begin. I’ll start off with a general review of each play I guess, then go into specifics under a read more so I don’t explode anyone’s dash.
Notes (On a Scandal)
The synopsis of this short was basically the diary of a middle aged teacher, played by Phillip Taratula, who developed amorous feelings for her younger female coworker(played by Jack Ferver) who was in turn having an affair with one of her 15 year old students, played by Christian Coulson. Oh, did I also mention said younger teacher is married to Randy Harrison(her older lawyer husband) and has two shall we say, challenged children, Polly(Jenn Harris) and Pabblem(Matthew Wilkas).
This was the first piece QWAN presented and in my opinion, it was actually far funnier than Swan! I don’t think I stopped laughing through the entire piece; Phillip Taratula and Jack Ferver made a flawless comedic team. At one point Matthew Wilkas (Hear on after known as The One With Amazing Facial Expressions) was so hilarious that not only was the audience cracking up, so were the actors! Not having seen the movie I can’t tell you if the satire was true to form, but I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard. Ever.
SWAN! (Black)
This short wasa parody of Black Swan, a movie in which a ballerina with precision but no soul(Nina, played by Jenn Harris) becomes increasingly delusional under the stress of not only gaining the lead role at the expense of the older, more talented lead(Wynonna Ryder, Matthew Wilkas), but also over her jealousy of a new arrival’s talent(Jack Ferver as Lilly) and an amorous director(Thomas played by Christian Coulson). Oh and her mother is either bat shit crazy or just along for the ride, overly motherly, and played by Randy Harrison. Throughout the short it’s pretty unclear just who, what, or how is going on here(even to the actors), but that’s part of the hilarity of it all.
While this one may not have been as funny overall, it was certainly just as enjoyable, and at points I actually shed TEARS of laughter(and Randy did too, and I think at that point I just sort of died, but we’ll get to that later…) Jenn Harris. Let me tell you about Jenn Harris. This lady was far and away the comedic presence in SWAN, and I’ve rarely watched an actress with such flawless timing, over-the-topness as her. At no point during either shows did I stop grinning, laughing, or enjoying myself. THIS satire I can say was completely true to the movie and it’s ridiculousness, and the company did a fantastic job of relating what was going on with someone who wouldn’t have known from seeing the movie.
All in all, Jesus Christ that was good. It’s two hours later, and my stomach STILL hurts. (Read below for ‘spoilers’, particularly humorous moments, and Randy Harrison in red striped briefs.)

He was so wonderful in Silence! the Musical tonight! He did fabulously, and I was a proud fangirl. I was so sad that he didn’t come out at the end, though. I really, really wanted to meet him. And he has yet to reply to me on twitter either, so, here’s an open letter to him: YO, RANDY. LET ME LOVE…
